Purolator shipping access points: Frequently asked questions

Purolator has over 3,000 retail agents and Mobile Quick Stop locations across Canada.In fact, 75% of Canadians live within three kilometers of a drop-off point. Your next shipment is closer than you think.

Purolator Drop Boxes are available at various locations, including Purolator shipping centers. Find Purolator drop-off locations

If you have a pre-paid label, simply drop off your pre-packaged items at the drop box. If you need a label, you can create one online via Purolator E-Ship® or on the spot at a Purolator shipping centre.  

Scan the barcode on your package’s pre-paid label to begin, or print a pre-paid label using a QR code. Once approved, the kiosk door will open and you can place your package inside. If you’re ready to start shipping, use the touchscreen and select the “Ship Now” option. The door will close, and your package will be on its way. You’ll also get a printed receipt for tracking purposes. 

For dropping off, just scan your pre-printed Purolator shipping label and place the package in the locker. For picking up, you'll receive an SMS notification with a code to scan or enter at the locker to retrieve your package. 

Your package is in a locker to keep the contents of your delivery safe. For your convenience, our lockers are available 24/7, so you can pick up your package whenever you please.

You can track your shipment by entering your PIN or reference number via the online tracker. You can also ask the Purolator virtual assistant for help or contact customer service at 1 888 SHIP-123. 

For specified shipments, only the intended receiver can pick up the package. For all other packages, anyone with the same address or with a written statement of consent that has been signed and dated by the receiver can pick it up.  

Yes, you can drop off Purolator Express® and Purolator Ground® shipments at a Purolator Drop Box. Just make sure your packages are prepaid and labeled. 

For Purolator Drop Boxes, packages should not exceed a length of 40.64 cm (16 inches) and have a maximum weight of 22.6 kg (50 lbs).

For Purolator Quick Stop Kiosks, packages should not exceed a length of 58.42 cm (23 inches). When it comes to weight, the package shouldn’t weigh more than 22.6 kg (50 lbs). If a package exceeds these limits, it may require special handling.

Each package must weigh no more than 22.6 kg (50 lbs), the maximum length is 93.98cm (37 inches).

When dropping off packages at a Purolator retail access location or shipping agent, ensure that the packages are within 40.64 cm (16 inches) and have a maximum weight of 22.6 kg (50 lbs).

To pay for a package before dropping it off, you can either pay online at Purolator E-Ship® or visit a Purolator shipping location for other payment options.

Yes, weight factors into shipping costs, along with other factors like the size of your parcel, destination and chosen service level (standard, express and so on).

Drop box availability depends on location. While many are available 24/7, some drop boxes become unavailable when its location closes for the day. Find out when your nearest drop boxes are available.

Contact Purolator customer service at 1 888 SHIP-123 with the package’s waybill number and the details of the address change.

Acceptable identification would be a valid government-issued photo ID that matches the name and address on the package.

Packaging supplies are available for purchase at Purolator shipping locations. While you are responsible for packaging your own shipment, feel free to use our packaging guidelines for reference.

Some shipments require a signature on arrival. For all other shipments, a signed note which includes the pin number, date and the signature of the receiver can be left in a visible spot for the driver (for addresses identified as residential). To further customize your delivery, including remote signature release services, check out Purolator Your Way.

A pickup code text is a notification to inform you that your shipment is available for pickup. It provides the address and hours of operation for the pickup location, as well as ID requirements.

You can order packaging supplies online. Purolator-branded packaging and shipping supplies are free and available online using your Purolator Account Number. Simply login or register online and select “Order Shipping Supplies”. You can also connect with us via our Virtual Assistant Chat or contact us at 1-888 SHIP-123 (1-888 744-7123) to order your supplies.

You can pick up or drop off packages one of over 550 Authorized Shipping Agents across the country. Find a convenient Purolator Authorized Shipping Agent near you.

Our services and packaging solutions are also available at more than 298 Staples locations across Canada. Look for the Purolator sign displayed in-store at the Staples Copy and Print Centre, and speak to a friendly, knowledgeable Staples associate for assistance. Find a Staples location near you.

After signing in to your account under the “Ship & Track” tab select the “Cancel a shipment” option, and then select the tracking number you want to cancel.

The maximum weight limit for a package shipped from a retail counter is 22.6 kg (50 lbs). The total length and girth combined can’t exceed 419 cm (165 inches). Additionally, the length of the longest side of the package can’t exceed 121.9 cm (48 inches).
